7th July Victoria Falls Bridge Closure
21 March 2019 The Econet Victoria Falls Marathon which will be held on the 7th of July this year. The start of the races is staggered and the Victoria Falls Bridge will be closed from 10pm the night before until 9am on the morning of 7th July. There will be no traffic permitted on the bridge during this time. Activities affected include Bridge activities (bungee, bridge slide and bridge swing), and Livingstone-based activities (morning Livingstone Island tours and microlight flights) for those coming from the Zimbabwe side of the border. Tours going later on in the day are not affected. This policy is put in effect for the safety of the runners. In addition, there will be full road closure on the day for all marathon routes from 6am to 11am - see the Marathon Map for details on the route. If you have activities booked on this day during the closure times and you're not sure if your activities might be affected, please contact your agent to confirm.
