Notes: Day 1DAY 1 Arusha TanzaniaResting at the foot of Mount Meru, the sprawling city of Arusha is known as the safari capital of northern Tanzania. It serves as an excellent starting point from which to explore the remarkably scenic surrounding area which includes majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, as well as the Manyara, Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti National Parks. Overnight: African TulipIs an elegant and charming Luxury Boutique Hotel located along Serengeti Road right in the heart of Arusha. A warm and friendly welcome awaits guests who want to experience the best of Tanzanian hospitality. The hotel has been designed with safari travellers, business persons, families, honeymooners, elite and leisure travellers in mind. It has amenities of convenience whilst offering a high standard of luxury.
Notes: Day 2 & 3DAY 2 DAY 3 Ngorongoro CraterOnce a gigantic volcano -- now the world’s largest intact caldera -- The Ngorongoro Crater shelters one of the most breath-taking wildlife havens on earth. Often described as the 8th wonder of the world, the Crater is said to contain the highest density of wildlife in all of Africa. It’s also one of the few places the nearly extinct black rhino still roams free, making it your best opportunity for seeing the Big Five. Measuring 10 miles wide with walls 2,000 feet high, this UNESCO World Heritage site is an exceptional stage for viewing the circle of life and death in the wild. Its sprawling plains of nutritious short grasses creates the perfect habitat for large herds of zebra and elephants to raise their young, and creates an unbeatable environment for lions and cheetahs to find their next kill. From sunrise to sunset, the Crater’s sapphire skies dotted with billowy clouds creates an unforgettable backdrop for wildlife viewing all year-round. Overnight: Ngorongoro Sopa LodgeFacing the always magnificent sunsets to the west, and located at the highest point on Ngorongoro crater’s entire rim, Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge stands well over half a kilometre above the crater floor and offers unparalleled views across this enormous caldera. Themed around traditionally circular African houses with conical roofs, and decorated with examples of Africa’s rich tapestry of artistic traditions by way of rich woodcarvings and sculptures, the lodge harmonizes perfectly with its dramatic surroundings. But the drama does not just stop with the great outdoors: it also flows through the split level interiors of the main building which all offer an unsurpassed generosity of space while somehow managing to combine an almost magically welcoming ambience of both warmth and cosiness.
Notes: Day 4, 5 & 6DAY 4, 5 & 6 Southern SerengetiThe Serengeti together with Kenya’s Maasai Mara Game Park form Africa’s most famous wildlife park. The image of acacia trees on an endless grass plain epitomises Africa for many, and then add a Maasai warrior and some cattle to the picture and the conversation need go no further. The annual wildebeest migration through the Serengeti and the Maasai Mara is the largest mass movement of land mammals on the planet – with more than 1.5 million animals following the rains. But that is not where the game viewing ends; large prides of lions, elephants and giraffes in grasslands, gazelles and eland to mention but a few. Serengeti Sopa LodgeLocated on the edge of the escarpment overlooking the plains of the south-western Serengeti National Park, home to many thousands of wild and rare animals, Serengeti Sopa Lodge lies within an area of outstanding natural beauty. An oasis of cool relaxation from the equatorial sun. The lodge allows its guests to experience magnificent sights and enjoy interaction with the land and animals difficult to find elsewhere, whilst at the same time enjoying the highest level of cuisine and hospitality.
Notes: Day 7DAY 7 NairobiSituated along the Nairobi River in beautiful Kenya is the capital city, Nairobi. Africa’s 4th largest city and East Africa's most cosmopolitan, it is a vibrant and exciting place. In 1899, when the British built the railway line from Mombasa to Uganda they decided to set up camp at "Ewaso Nai´beri", a Maasai name meaning "a place of cool water", and they had no idea that they had just sown the seeds of what would become the largest city in the region. Being unable to pronounce this name, the camp was called "Nairobi". Today the beautiful green foliage and the fact that Nairobi is the only city with a national park within its boundaries, earned it the dual identity of "the green city in the sun" and "the safari capital of the world". Overnight: Ole Sereni HotelLocated just off Mombasa road Ole-Sereni is the only hotel bordering a National Game Park. The title of the hotel is taken from the Maasai name for the area meaning 'place of tranquillity'. Ole-Sereni captures the essence of Nairobi. The hotel offers its guests views of animals in their natural surroundings at the waterhole in the park from the restaurants, bar, swimming pool and other parts of the hotel. As 'The City Hotel by the Game Park' Ole-Sereni combines the best features of a modern City Hotel and a traditional wildlife lodge where guests can enjoy nature's tranquillity from a very close range. Ole-Sereni is strategically positioned close to the Airport and the city centre, offering world-class facilities and personalized services to business as well as leisure travellers.
Day Notes: 8, 9, 10 & 11DAY 8 DAY 9 & 10 DAY 11 Victoria Falls, ZimbabweOne of the original natural wonders of the world, the Victoria Falls is a World Heritage Site and an extremely popular tourism attraction. Known locally as ‘The Smoke that Thunders’, this spectacle is accessible from both Zambia and Zimbabwe and it is an ideal place to combine a game viewing and water sports. There is excellent fishing, a terrifying bungee jump and arguably the best commercial white water rafting in the world. Overnight: Victoria Falls Safari LodgeVictoria Falls Safari Lodge is renowned as a supreme property at “Wonder of the World” destination Victoria Falls, and is showcased in numerous awards of high repute, including the 2012 Top 10 Resorts & Safari Camps in Africa as voted by the distinguished international Conde Nast Traveler magazine. The 72-room Victoria Falls Safari Lodge is rich in ambience and offers sublime hospitality. With views of the waterhole and wild African bush, it's hard to beat this prime setting that is perfectly positioned to enjoy activities above and below the Falls. The staff are warm and personable providing faultless delivery to guests during their stay.
