We had a wonderful trip up to Hwange and Vic Falls
by Bill
Dear Boo---we are back in the UK. We had a wonderful trip up to Hwange and Vic Falls. It took 3 and a half days to drive up from Hermanus to Ivory Lodge, and the same time to drive back. We loved Ivory Lodge and Explorers Village---both the accommodation and the staff. We visited Vic falls in 1965 and have since been there twice on the Zambian side. The falls are as fantastic as ever, but I found that there were too many other activities on offer. I suppose the younger people enjoy them!! The helicopters are a bit intrusive. In 65 there was one boat for the booze-cruise. In 2012, when I was in Zambia, there were many more. Now there are even more--and bigger. That Zambian boat, disguised as floating African village, is awful. Thank you so much for your assistance and advice. Best wishes, Bill
