Eating out for many people while on holiday is a very important factor. Especially for those of you who might be visiting Zimbabwe for the first time and want to experience some local dishes and entertainment.
Last update: 5 June 2023
The hotel you are staying at, will of course have its own restaurant, but if you are staying there for more than a couple of days you might want to venture further a field. It's also possible that the onsite restaurant is not to your liking. So it's worth knowing what else is out there.
Since there are so many hotels and lodges in Victoria Falls there is a wide
variety restaurants to choose from and some of them are truly world class. There are also a few Victoria Falls restaurants dotted around town offering a variety of different foods. It is easy enough to catch a taxi from where you are staying to one of the other restaurants.
Combined dinner and activity options include a sunset and dinner cruise, which is very popular, as the name suggests, enjoy a Zambezi River sunset cruise but instead of coming in just after sunset, stay out on the cruise boat and get treated to a 3 course dinner - a splendid alternative to dining in a Victoria Falls restaurant. There is also the option of doing what's called a night drive and bush dinner where you go on an evening game drive and then enjoy a specially prepared meal under the stars.
Another dining experience is the Bamba Tram
sunset
safari with dinner under the stars, in the middle of the bush. If you are interested in
any or all of these, please send us a booking enquiry form.
For groups upwards of 6 people we can arrange a private dining experience at beautiful bespoke locations under the stars. These exclusive dinners are very popular for something just a bit different. Please contact us if you are interested in arranging one of these.
Below is a full list of the Victoria Falls restaurants, they are listed alphabetically by the hotel / lodge name. Restaurants not at a hotel are included in the "Around Town" heading. See our map for locations of the various hotels and Victoria Falls restaurants.
