Home | Victoria Falls Events Victoria Falls EventsVictoria Falls is making a name for itself with a series of annual activities and special events
Victoria Falls, this amazing Adventure Capital of Africa - has so much to offer!
Not only is it a natural wonder of the world and renowned for having some of the
best activities to be found anywhere on our planet, it now has some of the most
spectacular and exciting events to boot.
We have rafting, mountain biking and a marathon!
Throughout the year there are many exciting and interesting activities and
Victoria Falls events – not all requiring us to be ‘Ironmen’! And then at the end of the year there’s the annual
Vic Falls Carnival (ex Falls Fest) - an entertainment packed New Year’s celebration, with live music
from some of the tops bands around, even from across the borders.
Due to the limited nature of accommodation availability in Victoria Falls, it’s best to plan early if you are focussing you energies on one of these special
Victoria Falls events.
Package deals are often put together for these events so
contact us and we can
tell you what's available.

Victoria Falls Mountain Bike Challenge
This event established in 2010, was operated by the same organisers of the successful Victoria Falls Marathon, Zambezi-Man and also the Kilimanjaro Marathon.
The three day event was an iconic event for adventure cyclists the
world over and comprised of a combination of single track, rural roads and a
small amount of tar.
Note that most of these areas are not generally accessible to the public and
as such are unique to this event. From the base of Elephant Hills Hotel, in
Victoria Falls – competitors cycled over three days in different areas of
this beautiful region.
Total distance travelled is estimated to be in the region of 270km. Each
night cyclers were in complete comfort in their hotel rooms, with access to
swimming pools and maybe a round of golf. The event was fully backed up,
marshalled, and controlled to world standards.
Whilst the Victoria Falls Mountain Bike race was a challenge for the fast,
competitive riders, it would also be a great event for social riders. Well
spaced refreshment points along the way, good marshalling and sweep bikes and
cars, as well as some spectacular, un-ridden sections would allow riders some great views
of one of Zimbabwe's most scenic areas.

Zambezi-Man
The Zambezi-Man was a unique event, which took place in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe at the end of August
each year,
to coincide with the Victoria Falls Marathon. It was a multi-day challenge in some of the most beautiful and rugged terrain in Africa,
and included a 50km raft/paddle event, 100km mountain bike cycle and marathon to finish.
In its final year, over 50 competitors attempted this gruelling three day event.
This exciting event would test rafting skills on the Grade 5 rapids of the
Zambezi River on day one,
followed by a timed mountain bike race on day two, and a full 42.2 km run on the
third and final day. It was fully supported and backed up by the Event Crew - with the cycle and run sections having regular water points along the way.

Falls Fest
New Year in Victoria Falls was celebrated in grand style with what used to be
called the annual Falls Fest over the 30th and 31st December (see information
about the Vic Falls Carnival for
the upcoming new year's festival).
This really became an iconic event with over 4000 people attending the last
party in 2010 (not a single bed was available in the Falls). The rafting
companies saw their busiest day ever with over 600 people rafting in a
single day!
If you were thinking about going (see information on
Vic Falls Carnival), it is vital that you book early because by the
middle of the year most hotels are fully booked for New Years holidays. So please
contact us and we can
normally find something for you in those not so well known places.
