Vic Falls Marathon Postponed
11 May 2020 The organisers of the Victoria Falls Marathon have announced that the 2020 marathon date has moved from July to December 2020. The statement they sent reads as follows: We have had to re-schedule the Econet Victoria Falls Marathon, and the event is now planned for 13 December 2020. Of course, this will be subject to permissions from Zimbabwe Ministry of Health, and possibly Zambia, but we are confident that by December events such as the marathon will be allowed. We also have initiated some ideas for our runners safety when in close contact with others etc, which we will share nearer the time. As organisers, we hope that this commitment on our part will provide a bit of happiness to the running community, and the Vic Falls Community as a whole. Something to look forward to, we feel, in these negative times. Change your flights, move your accommodation bookings, change your training schedule, and "look forward", not backward. Included in their email is a link to their FAQ's to answer questions about the postponement. Registration will reopen on the website on 18 May 2020.
