The Falls

I've been to Victoria Falls several times and as beautiful as they are it just isn't worth it anymore. Since the Soccer in2010 the price went up to $30 but hasn't come down. To pay $30 to walk through and get soaked just isn't worth it anymore.
Having just visited - May 2011 - there was plenty of water going over and photo opportunities limited unless you have a water proof camera it seems ludicrous to pay $30 to see what I've seen many times before.
If it is your first trip then you HAVE to do the Falls but for return visitors save your money as you are now paying more for nothing new!

While I understand that the upkeep of the national park costs money and I am happy to pay an entrance fee I can't help but feel that we are being overcharged when the fee for visitors is $30 and the fee for locals$7! The park charge for most other activities in and around Victoria Falls is $10 which is reasonable and it is only when you wish to see the falls that the charge goes up. For your $30 you do not get even a route map- that costs an extra dollar- and I can,t see much maintainence of fences etc being undertaken. All that being said the falls are magnificent and we'll worth a visit- I just hate being cheated.
