Plans for the Batoka Dam in the lower Zambezi

Hi, Having just spent Christmas in Livingstone again, I was shocked to see how few people there were compared to previous years - and to hear the anger locals have towards the media who featured the empty section of the Falls in their international coverage not long ago. Mention was also made of the new dam in the gorges possibly affecting tourism in the future. Could this be the case - or would the new dam become another attraction rather?
