Paying for hotels in local currency.

Hi, I am returning to Zimbabwe where I have a house and funds in CABS, I was hoping to book a hotel/accommodation in Vic Falls & Kariba but I wish to pay with Zim Dollars through CABS and not with Pounds. Is this possible?

Accommodation still in USD currently

Hi Tracey

At this stage accommodation is still priced in US$. Some places like Lokuthula offer an RTGS rate.
It's going to be down to the individual establishment as each place does tend to do things differently at this stage. So you can maybe contact the places you wish to stay and negotiate with them. It also depends on when you are coming. Still early stages at the moment but in a couple of months, we are likely to have more clarity of the actual rate and if it is going to stabilise.
