Masuwe Lodge - bird's eye view
Masuwe Lodge originally opened in 1992 as the flagship property of Landela Safaris. At the start of this century and for various reasons Masuwe Lodge was leased to a budget operation. We are pleased to announce that Masuwe Lodge has re-opened after a complete rebuild and refurbishment and that Landela Safaris is looking forward to growth and prosperity in beautiful and diverse Zimbabwe. Being located just 15 minutes drive from the town of Victoria Falls but surrounded by natural bushland, Masuwe offers the best of both worlds - life on safari with easy access to Victoria Falls! There is a total of 9 Wilderness Tents offering king or twin beds. The Hide-Away offers privacy, space and romance! We know the stunning views across the bush, the dual shower heads and the large deck with outdoor bathtub will offer a magic setting for any celebration. Masuwe's main lodge has also been refurbished with an all new deck, kitchen and decor; yet with a nod to the past - the beautiful stones of Masuwe, the deep rock-pool and the shady trees remain. Many of Masuwe's original team are back on board, others such as Farai Mukaro and Peter Mubita Mukanda never left the Cranswick's employ and were retained as caretakers and gardeners during the 15 years of Landela's absence. The entire team is looking forward to welcoming guests back to Masuwe, as Mukanda said, "the bush is better when we are here to look after it." Prices begin at US$380 per person per night and include • all meals • local brand drinks from the bar • airport & town transfers as well as transfers to/from local tours & experiences • a range of activities including informal town tours, visits to Victoria Falls, guided walks and game drives both on the Masuwe Sanctuary and in the adjacent Chamabonda National Park.
