Livingstone entrance to the Falls - Zambia
by Ken Gray
(Cape Town SA)
Having recently visited the falls with two friends we were very dissapointed with the trail leading to the Knife Edge Bridge. It shows no sign of maintenance, the hand rails in parts are broken or missing and most peculiar of all was that there was no hand rails of any kind where the approx. 51 steps are sited.
No provision of any kind seems to have been made for the elderly or disabled. Plenty of security to ensure you pay your 100 Kwatchas, where is this money spent? not anywhere I could see. I would not recommend anyone to visit from the Livingstone side and most certainly not with small children so, so dangerous for them. The area is broken down and reflects very poorly on the country of Zambia. Ken Gray
