I absolutely loved Zim !by Robin
Hi Boo, You are right, our timing was off. I went to the Falls on the 8th, and am even back in the States now. One day was definitely not enough, but the Falls were beautiful and I am glad I went. In the short time I was there I managed to walk about 3/4 of the Falls (far too rushed) before I was picked up for the boat cruise. The cruise was a bit touristy, but I am not complaining we were lucky in that we had close encounters with hippos, elephants and a croc who tried hiding in a sand bar - not to mention observing one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen anywhere in the world! I have to tell you, I absolutely loved Zim. Everyone was so authentically friendly and warm. I will most definitely be back - next time hopefully for a longer period of time so i can incorporate more leisure activities like visiting an animal refuge or game park, or perhaps go rafting. You probably don't hear this very often, but I was glad the Falls were running low. I was able to shoot them without any dry-bags for my camera gear and still get some good shots. My only regret is that I was too rushed to take the time to shoot them with a neutral density filter to create the silkiness of the water with the proper color balance of the falls and the sky. Oh well. I'll know for next time. And I will be back! Thank you for following up. Sorry I missed you - maybe next time. Keep up the good work! Best Regards, Robin
