High Season is Here - Advance Bookings Are Essential
8 October 2018 We are at that time of the year when the little town of Victoria Falls gets very busy and lots of visitors want to experience the exciting activities on offer. It is imperative for us to impress upon our guests the importance of making sure that you have planned and booked your activities in advance. Too many people arrive thinking they will book onsite, only to leave bitterly disappointed. Limited Space In some cases the activities might be fully booked or you can't get the time slot you would like (for instance the helicopter ride is better in the afternoon slightly less spray as the day warms up) so its a good idea to pre-book an afternoon time slot. There are a few activities that only take a few people at a time, and these tend to be some of the most popular. Lately, these are: Livingstone Island & Devils Pool Sunset & Dinner Cruise Zambezi National Park game drives The dinner train Others such as the overnight camping trips in Chobe National Park can take a few days to confirm, so we do not recommend last minute bookings for those. Special Attention We spend hours if not days discussing itineraries with our clients making sure that they get exactly what they want, maximising their short time in the Falls. If you don't do this before hand you will be wasting your holiday time doing all this planning. Why Pre-pay Also, if you pre-book and pay up front you don't have to worry about paying when you get there, not all the operators accept credit cards and therefore you have to carry cash (you cannot withdraw money from the ATM's). Using credit cards in another country also incurs other fees. Do You Pay More When You Pre-book? It doesn't make any difference to the price whether you pre book or book when you are there. Many people think they will get a better deal when they are on the ground, it just doesn't happen that way. Prices are standard direct from the operator or from an agent.
