Extended stay in Victoria Falls

I have been invited to stay with friends in Victoria Falls for an extended stay, maybe 6 months. How do I access money in my USA bank during that time. In Botswana I used the ATM machines but I understand that is not possible in Zimbabwe.

Pay for most things by card.

Hi Susan

You will be able to use your credit or debit cards to pay for things while you are here. Most places accept them including supermarkets.
But as far as drawing cash from the ATM's or banks, that is not something you can rely on. So you would be best to bring a stock of cash for small expenses and the for larger expenses pay with your cards.
Both Zambia and Botswana are also close by, an easy trip and you could draw USD cash from banks in those countries, if needed.
You haven't mentioned when you are possibly coming, things change dramatically and quickly in Zimbabwe so just check again before arriving.
