If you want to hire a car in Victoria Falls it's easy enough. There are Car Hire companies at the airport inside the main terminal building just as you enter the arrivals hall.

But Do you Need To Hire a Car?

Airport Taxi's cost approx US$30 into town   Traditional Dancers greet visitors at the airport with an excellent show.

The question is - Do you need one? The airport is situated 22kms from the Victoria Falls town center and there are taxis or airport transfers which can be easily arranged, through us if you wish - contact us.

Transfers to town cost in the region of US$17 per person one way. There are also taxis at the airport so if there is a group of you, these work out cheaper as it costs about US$30 to $35 for all of you.

If you are staying in one of the main hotels you can then rely on their shuttle service to and from town center and the Falls themselves.

If you look at our Map of Victoria Falls you can get a clearer picture of the layout of the town. If you are staying at one of the smaller lodges or B and B's you can either walk or catch a taxi for about US$5 anywhere within a 5km radius.

If you decide to go on any of the multitude of activities available then the tour operator will pick you up and drop you off again at your hotel, most of the activities include the transfer in the price you pay.

Most things around and about are within walking distance, like the shops etc. But one thing I must say is that it does get very hot and walking any distance can be uncomfortable.
