Art Purchase

We purchased $20K of Shona sculpture from a gallery in Victoria Falls. We want to pay with our credit card but the shop owner is saying that he won't get the money if we do so. He is asking for a wire transfer.

We want to pay with our CC because of the protections it offers us.

What do you advise?

Only pay by credit card

Hi Sandy

I would absolutely recommend only paying by credit card. If he is a reputable Sculpture dealer he will have credit card facilities. Please take my advice, there are too many cases of people buying stone sculpture from the smaller dealers and never receiving their items, just search our website.
Even when paying by credit card be very careful...to the point that you only pay once you see the shipping document from DHL or Fedex.
