A Wonderful Trip to Victoria Falls
by Bob Bromfield
My wife Mary and I had a wonderful visit to the Falls at the end of March 2010. Our stay at the Vic Falls Hotel was fabulous and we enjoyed the beautiful photographs and pictures on the walls which record its history stretching over more than 100 years. The lovely gardens provide a beautiful setting and a relaxing atmosphere. There is a pathway from the hotel which leads down to a lookout at the gorge which is always worth a visit. Tour of the Falls was an amazing experience. At this time of year the Zambezi is flowing strongly and the volume of water going over the falls is high. It's an awesome sight and the spray is so intense that in places it is impossible to see never mind photograph the falls. And then of course it pours down on you non stop. But we managed to get some pics all the same. Our other activities included an evening game drive ending with dinner in the bush and also a sunset dinner cruise, both of which were most enjoyable. Everyone went out of their way to ensure that we had a great time, which we really appreciated. We must thank Boo Peel for organising our trip everything went as planned and there were no hiccups.
